I really love Doragon, he’s probably my favorite character…so far, I really love the Tamagotchi/Digimon feel of the character but I really think he needs a little more power, he is probably fine while in a party but for solo he needs a boost. I’ve been able to solo any Celestial with Champ and Lucky Monkey, The changes I think I would make are as follows.
1. Decrease the cool down time on Mess. This is his main power move currently. It allows for his quickest acclimation of hits, while also dealing out nice damage if placed correctly. (-1 second on Mess’ cool down.)
2. Flush needs more base damage, and a smaller number of Mess droppings to get the Lucky Poop. Every time I use his special it feels like I’m just destroying my major damage dealing technique which are the Mess droppings. Maybe make it for every dropping picked up it deals more damage. Compared to everyone else’s special moves it’s just underwhelming. (More Base Damage, Plus 10 Damage for every poop collected by the wave, Increase spawn on Lucky Poop.)
3. Increase healing on Feast, Its really not worth taking the extra damage right now to only heal for tiny bit and get hit for more than you could heal. Not to much more healing would be needed. (Increase healing from 2 to 3 increase present from 20% to 25%.)
4. I really like the triple fire ball or “Super Attack” that Doragon gets when you have the Ancient Elemental Extract. It just a little annoying that it barely ever appears and then you use it and its gone. It would be nicer if you would maybe use it a couple time before it turned back to the normal “Attack”. (After absorbing elemental extract you can use “Super Attack” 2 times.)
Most of this is just my opinion of the character. I really enjoy his look and moves just feel that Doragon compared to some of the other playable characters so far doesn’t deal nearly as much damage especially compared to Luck Monkey who by far is the strongest character in the game, not that I’m complaining, I would just like to see Doragon closer to his level.
August 11, 2015 at 2:06 am #1267Thank you for the nicely composed list of changes. I’ll give a quick overview of them:
1.) I agree that Mess is one of Doragon’s biggest assets. I think that implementing changes outlined in point #2 will help resolve this issue
2.) Flush could stand to have a bit more base power, even if by +10~20. I think that simply reducing the number of excrement needed for a Lucky Poop to spawn will greatly increase the effectiveness of Mess. I’ll consider both reducing the number of needed excrement and also increasing the critical hit rate induced by the LP. I’ve briefly tried the “excrement total increasing damage” idea in the past, but it’s hard to detect the accurate excrement total server-side, not to mention the possibility of users spoofing the data. I’ve also toyed with the idea of granting other non-Doragon players a small bonus from it a well, so it functions as a sort of party buff. It would be easy to implement.
3.) Eat should recover a bit more Health. I also think that the Element Bonus should be reduced from 2 -> 1 Extract.
4.) The method for using using an Element Extract is done server-side (as with damage calculation) and might be a bit tedious to keep track of how many times a user has used an Element Extract. I’ll keep this idea in mind for the future but I think a solution for this issue of unsatisfactory usage might be to increase the damage output! I think it would be exciting if this attack dealt more damage since it’s so rare (3x -> 6x?).
